In 1965, after Lillian has been pushed to the edge in her marriage, she murders her husband in hopes to regain her freedom and strength. The aesthetics are bold, intense, and include a lot of red to embody the theme of female rage. For the costumes, we focused on a range of fashion from more traditional looks in the 50s to the more edgier modern looks in the late 60s to represent the second wave of feminism that took place during that era and to show the compelling progression in Lillian's story.
